Since itslaunch in 2004, DKT Egypt has emerged as one of the country’s leading providers of sexual and reproductive health products.
Ever since, DKT expanded in serving the strategic mission of family planning, by enhancing service providers’ capacity, provide high-quality cost-effective contraceptives, as well as educate women in-need about family planning and the different contraceptive methods to meet their individual needs in determining more-prosperous futures for themselves and their families.
In 2018, DKT Egypt provided an estimated 70% of the modern methods of contraception used by Egyptian women and men, including more than 4.78 million male condoms, 2.467 million IUDs, 203,000 emergency contraceptive pill doses, and 2.24 million spermicidal suppositories (VFT).
DKT launched sales in the Middle East North Africaregion in mid-2018, delivering vital reproductive health products with minimal infrastructure and investments.
DKT Egypt is proud to cooperate with different entities in Egypt, including the Egyptian Ministry of Health, Rotary Egypt, the Egyptian Family Planning Association (Egypt’s branch of IPPF – International Planned Parenthood Federation), Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), the Red Crescent, Ain Shams University, Assiut University, JSI (John Snow Incorporation), UNAIDs, among others.
Our main objectives for cooperation are to support women’s rights in knowing more about reproductive health and family planning, advocacy for more women in-need for family planning methods, encourage new contraceptive users, and strengthen the capacity of health care professionals in Egypt.
